Minnetonka Rotary Presents Hennepin County Home School Scholarship.

June 6th 1:30pm at the Hennepin County Home School, in Minnetonka / Glenn Lake, a Graduation Ceremony took place honoring students who have shown that they want to turn their lives around.  The Hennepin County Home School is a correctional school for troubled youth and juvenile offenders.

The Minnetonka Rotary believes in “Building Responsible Youth” and identified a student for just such an award. Frank Babka of the Minnetonka Rotary presented a student at the school with a $1000 award matched by a $1000 award from Chris Reiss in honor of his father Bob Reiss, who was a long time member of the Minnetonka Rotary and as well as a volunteer at the Home School.  Because of the nature of the School we cannot tell you all the details of this individual, but want to make people aware that the Hennepin County Home School exists and is achieving results with troubled youth.

The Minnetonka Rotary meets at Eisenhower Community Center on Hwy 7 every Wednesday at 7:15am.
