Girls optional teams attended the Harley Davidson Invitational in Milwaukee this past weekend. One of the larger gymnastics invitational which included teams from out of state and other counties. Mini-Hops Optional girls require minimal score of 34.50 to qualify for the State Championship and only two meets left in the regular season the level 7 team has three out of eight girls who qualified. Hopefully the remaining girls who have not qualified can score high enough within the last two meets and attend the State Championship.
Kenzie K. (level 8) who is a senior will be retiring at the end of the season. Unfortunately she has had injuries which will preclude her from qualifying for the State Championship.
Alyssa N. (level 9) has had injuries since the beginning of the season, however was able to compete on all events and qualified for her State Championship.

All gymnasts competed as a team, however individually competed against each other by age group for awards. The brackets were (10 and under, 11, 12 and 13+). The top three gymnasts’ scores on each event are compiled to total team scores.

Top score for age 10 and under was Paige M. (Wayzata) scored 8.800 and tied for 6th on vault, did not compete on uneven bars, 7.850 and placed 12th beam, 8.650 and placed 11th on floor. Final score of 25.300 and placed 12th on all-around.
Isabella B. (Wayzata) scored 8.650 and placed 11th on vault, did not compete on uneven bars or beam, 8.625 and placed 12th on floor. Final score of 17.275 and placed 13th on all-around.
Top score for 12 year olds was Claire M. (St. Louis Park) scored 8.575 and placed 8th on vault, 9.000 and place 4th on uneven bars, 9.000 and tied for 3rd on beam, 9.150 and placed 4th on floor. Final score of 35.775 and placed 3rd on all-around.
Susanna F. (Minnetonka, age 12) scored 8.325 and placed 10th on vault, 9.250 and place 2nd on uneven bars, 9.000 and tied for 3rd on beam, 9.150 and placed 4th on floor. Final score of 35.725 and placed 4th on all-around.
Ellie S. (Plymouth, age 12) scored 8.300 and placed 11th on vault, 8.200 and place 10th on uneven bars, 7.850 and placed 10th on beam, 8.900 and placed 7th on floor. Final score of 33.250 and placed 10th on all-around.
Top score for age 13+ was Chelsea L. (Mound) scored 8.275 and placed 11th on vault, did not compete on uneven bars, 8.875 and placed 5th on beam, 9.175 and placed 2nd on floor. Final score of 26.375 and placed 12th on all-around.
Team acquired a score of 106.875 and placed 11th overall.
