The Common App was a popular New Year's Date!

Across the world, 154,904 Common Applications were submitted on New Years Eve.  Maybe you hit send on one or more of these! This was not an error free night, however.  Between 11:35 am EST and 2:35 am EST, the system crashed. This again prompted many schools to extend regular application deadlines.  Censeo consulting firm has been retained to help with the redesign of the 2014 Common Application so, hopefully, the next application season will be smoother! Schools are, however, working double time to keep the response dates on track this Spring so you should have your answers in a timely manner.  If you have already accepted an offer of admission, or have ruled out a school, DO let all other schools where you have pending applications know and close these files.  This is crucial so that wait lists can begin to clear.  Chances are each of you can name someone on a waitlist! Help clear those spots as soon as you can.
