2014 Lake Minnetonka Ice Dive: Are You Brave Enough?

Will you be jumping into the icy waters of Lake Minnetonka on New Year's Day?

Jump into Lake Minnetonka to wake you up on New Year's Day! 

This great annual tradition gives you major bragging rights while you contribute to a wonderful charity. This year's major beneficiary of the money raised at the ALARC Ice Dive will be Ride 2 Recovery

R2R is produced by the Fitness Challenge, a (501C3) in partnership with the Military and VA Volunteer Service Office to benefit mental and physical rehabilitation programs for our country’s wounded veterans and healing heroes that features cycling as the core activity.

Costume Contest

The ALARC Ice Dive will be giving away two $50 Gift Certificates for BaySide Grille, one each for the top two costumes worn by the divers as they jump into the comfort of Lake Minnetonka. The costumes will be judged by the ALARC staff. Judging criteria will be based on creativity and attention grabbing. Ice Dive spectators will be encouraged to voice their opinion also.

Arrival Times

If you are a Shark, you should arrive between 8 and 8:15 a.m. in time to be ready for the 8:30 am start of the ALARC Ice Dive. If you have 5-15 previous dives, you should be ready to jump between 8:40 am and 9 a.m. Divers with less than five dives, and all new divers should plan to arrive around 9 a.m.

Breakfast

All ALARC Ice Dive participants will receive a hot breakfast burrito and either coffee or hot chocolate. Guests can purchase the breakfast for $5.
