With over 300 competing gymnast it was a successful and busy weekend for Mini-Hops Gymnastics Association. The qualifier was held at Mounds View community center in Mounds View. Not only did Mini-Hops host the meet, but also had their own two girls compulsory teams complete against other gymnasts. The competition started Saturday morning the 2nd of November and ended the following day in the evening. Great praise was given by parents, gymnasts and judges’ indicating it was one of the best meets they have attended. The meet was sponsored by the Mini-Hops Booster Club and oversaw by Gabrielle Grier the newly appointed girls’ competitive meet director.
Mini-Hops Gymnastics Level 4 Girls Team
All gymnasts for level 4 required an individual minimum all-around score of 32.00 to qualify for the State Gymnastics Championship. Gymnasts competed as a team, however individually competed against each other by age group for awards. The age brackets were ages 7-8, 9-10 and 11+ with the top three individual scores in each event are combined and equated for final team score. The following gymnasts had previously qualified at the first state qualification meet Ava M., Victoria S., Isabella H., Sasha A., Sofia C, Lucille J, Caitlyn C., Kaija P, Ruby G, Mae M.

Victoria S. (age 9-10, St. Louis Park) scored 9.000 and tied for 1st on vault, 8.575 and tied for 7th on uneven bars, 8.125 and placed 16th on beam, 8.300 and tied for 14th on floor. Her final score was 34.000 and placed 7th on all-around.
Isabella H. (age 9-10, Maple Grove) scored 8.100 and tied for 17th on vault, 8.500 and tied for 10th on uneven bars, 8.500 and tied for 9th on beam, 8.525 and placed 10th on floor. Her final score was 33.625 and placed 9th on all-around.
Sasha A. (age 9-10, Plymouth), scored 7.900 and tied for 23rd on vault, 8.325 and placed 13th on uneven bars, 8.400 and placed 11th on beam, 8.850 and placed 3rd on floor. Her final score was 33.475 and placed 10th on all-around.

Kaija P. (age 11+, Minnetonka), scored 8.425 and tied for 10th on vault, 8.475 and placed 5th on uneven bars, 8.125 and placed 11th on beam, 9.100 and placed 2nd on floor. Her final score was 34.125 and tied for 4th on all-around.
Team acquired a score of 107.000 to claim a 2nd place trophy.
Mini-Hops Gymnastics Level 5 Girls Team

Gymnasts are required a minimum all-around score of 32.000 to qualify for the State Gymnastics Championship. Gymnasts competed individually for metals according to age brackets (ie. – ages 7-10, 11, 12+). The top three gymnasts’ scores on each event are compiled to total team scores.
