Minnetonka Rotary Charity Golf Outing

The Minnetonka Rotary is sponsoring a Charity Golf Outing on Saturday, September 21st at Glen Lake Golf Course located at 14350 County Road 62 in Minnetonka Minnesota, just west of the intersection of Hwy 494 and Hwy 62. The event is a shotgun start at 2:00pm. Registration starts at 1:00pm. The event includes nine holes of golf with prizes for putting and driving contest. There will also be a $10,000 prize for a hole in one. The Minnetonka Rotary Charity Golf Outing "Birdies and Beers" is a charity event that raises money for the Hopkins / Minnetonka communities. The Minnetonka Rotary believes in "Building Responsible Youth" and most of the money that this event raises goes back into the youth in our communities..

Golf is fun and the beer tasting is delicious and includes a selection of local craft beers, brewed in the Minnetonka area.. The beers that will be available include the following: Excelsior Brewing, Surly Brewing, Rock Bottom Brewery, Lucid Brewing, Town Hall Brewery. Food will be provided by Tuttles of Hopkins and includes two different sandwich types and delicious salads.. A silent auction will be available and raffles that will include trips to Hawaii, Arizona, and the Bahamas. Additionally, there will be a raffle of the following: 1) a 40" Sony TV, 2) an Apple iPod, and 3) a wheel barrow overflowing with assorted beers and wines ..... the drawing will be held with the first winner choosing the prize he or she wants followed by another drawing from the same pool of tickets until all the prizes are claimed.

The event unfolds like this....... Check in at 1:00pm, Golf from 2:00pm to 5:00pm, with Beer Tasting, Food, Raffles and Silent Auction running until 8:00pm..
