VIDEO: Minnetonka's Summer Fest!

Last weekend, families from across the region met, mingled and ate at . Events included the Tot Trot, 8K run, a parade and live concerts throughout the day and evening.

Attendance at the Minnetonka Summer Festival was 10,300, the second-largest crowd ever. The largest attendance was in 2008. According to the city, 8,500 people watched the fireworks show—the largest crowd anyone at the city can remember.

Most of the activities occured across the Civic Center grounds; one end served as an ampitheter, while an amusement area with rides and games sat at the other end. A petting zoo was also tucked away on a hill overlooking the entire festival. Less than a mile away, the Ice Cream Social served ice cream, hosted band concerts and offered glimpses into the history and culture of Minnetonka through the years.
