Thick Fog Blankets Minnetonka

Fog permeated most of the city on Thursday-- and we have the pictures to prove it.

Only one word can describe Minnetonka's weather on Thursday-- foggy. Okay, maybe two words-- really foggy.  The fog, dense in spots, rolled in early this morning, and it never left.

The National Weather service has issued a hazardous weather outlook, until midnight tonight, for portions of Minnesota, including Minnetonka.

The NWS says visibility is reduced to between 1/2 mile and 1 mile. The dense fog is expected to remain in the area until later this evening. In the meantime, low visibility on Minnetonka's roads is making getting around slower for area drivers.

Thursday's fog and drizzle will be followed by much colder temperatures and wind. Tomorrow's high temperature will only be in the mid-twenties and the NWS is predicting possible wind gusts of up to 35 miles per hour.
