Shady Oak Road Construction Has Begun

Northbound will be one lane for two weeks, and there will be intermittent lane closures in the southbound lanes.

Construction on Shady Oak Road in Eden Prairie on the border of Minnetonka began Monday, according to the city of Eden Prairie.

This fall workers will relocate gas, electric and communication lines. They also will remove some trees and grade the area.

The finished project (see PDF with this article) will include more turn lanes, a median and trails, according to the city's website. It is expected to be completed in late 2014.
