POLL: Dreaming of a White Christmas?

How will the lack of snow affect your Christmas?

The last "brown" Christmas was in 2006, when we had just a trace of snow on the ground on Dec. 25, according to the US National Weather Service– Twin Cities.

A "white" Christmas is loosely defined as having 1 inch or more of snow on the ground.

In 110 years of snow depth measurements in Twin Cities, a white Christmas happens about 72 percent of the time, according to the State Climatology Office.  From 1899 to 2009 there have been 31 years with either a "zero" or a "trace."
