Hwy. 169 Re-Opens to Traffic June 28, 29

Northbound and southbound Highway 169 between Highway 7 and Highway 62 will re-open to two lanes of traffic Friday and Saturday night, June 28 and 29.

Weather permitting, southbound Hwy 169 will re-open to two lanes late in the day, Friday, June 28.

All ramps associated with the project area will re-open at the same time.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation wanted all lanes of Hwy 169 between Hopkins and Edina open within 32 days of the start of the rehabilitation work on the Nine Mile Creek, Excelsior Boulevard and 2nd Street Bridges. The full roadway will be open within approximately 21 days of the start of the project.

During the next few weeks motorists may experience temporary off-peak or overnight lane and shoulder closures as crews continue rehabilitating the three bridges spanning the highway.
