What's Open, Closed on Presidents Day 2013 in Minnetonka?

Monday is Presidents Day. Here's a handy list of what's open and closed for the holiday:

• City Hall is closed.
• Both Minnetonka and Hopkins schools are closed.
• Hennepin County libraries will be closed, including Minnetonka Library and Ridgedale Library. For library hours, locations and phone numbers, click here.
• The Minnetonka Post Office is closed.

Remaining open locally are major grocery stores, retail stores and liquor stores. With banks, it is best advised to check ahead of time.

Most outdoor ice rinks will close for the season on Monday, with the exception of the rinks at McKenzie, Glen Lake and Meadow Parks in Minnetonka. These rinks will remain open as conditions allow, through Feb. 25 when they will also close for the season.

If you are looking for activities to occupy your children during the non-school day, Minnetonka Recreation Services offers the following creative art classes. Register by calling 952-939-8203. Both classes take place at the Glen Lake Activity Center, 14350 Excelsior Blvd. Children should bring a nut-free snack and a beverage.
