The TwinWest Chamber of Commerce will announce the winners of their 2012 Entrepreneur of the Year and Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year awards at the Small Business Awards Luncheon on Thursday, May 24, at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Minneapolis–Park Place in St. Louis Park.

For 28 years, TwinWest has annually recognized outstanding entrepreneurs from our membership for their drive, risk-taking, business acumen, vision, and sense of adventure.

The TwinWest Entrepreneur of the Year award recognizes a member entrepreneur who has established and maintained a successful business with $100 million or less in annual revenue, which is five or more years old.

The TwinWest Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year recognizes a member entrepreneur who has established a company with $100 million or less in annual revenue, which is less than five years old and more than one year old and displays excellent growth potential.

In addition, at the Small Business Awards Luncheon, TwinWest will present a special achievement award to Connie Bakken, chair of the board at Citizens Independent Bank. The award recongnizes Bakken’s success in business, commitment to community, and entrepreneurial spirit. The event is emceed by WCCO’s Frank Vascellaro.
