Sesame Café Chinese Restaurant Planned in Former Lunds Restaurant

The fast-food-style restaurant's menu includes classic Chinese food and drink.

A new Chinese restaurant may soon find a home in Minnetonka.

The city's planning commission has recommended that the city council approve the plans for Sesame Café. The restaurant is planned in the former Lunds Restaurant space in Country Village Shopping Center (11400 State Hwy. 7), near Perkins on Minnetonka's border with Hopkins.

The restaurant will be a fast-food type, where the customer will order and pay for their food at the front counter and have the choice of carrying out or self seating. The menu includes classic Chinese food and beverage, and the cafe will be open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

The proposed restaurant will have 120 seats, which is about 16 seats less than previous Lunds Restaurant. It will continue use the existing outdoor patio for outdoor dining. The patio which has 20 settings is located right by the west side of the main entrance.

There would be no exterior changes to the building or site.
