People's Organic Coffee and Wine Cafe Coming to Minnetonka

The cafe focuses on organic food and will sell local or organic wines and beers.

A new People’s Organic Coffee and Wine Café will soon move into the former  building. Plans for the café include outdoor seating and the potential for full-service dining. 

Owner of the new restaurant, Jessica Hennesy, went before the on Aug. 27 to explain the restaurant’s request for a liquor license. The license would be for on-sale wine and on-sale 3.2 percent malt liquor.

Said Hennesy, “We saw this as a great opportunity in the location to bring in a restaurant that has natural, organic, fresh farm to table food in an environment that is more like a bistro environment versus just a coffee shop.”

The restaurant will sell local or organic wines and beers. Hennesy expected that alcohol would only be a small percentage of sales.

People’s Organic Coffee and Wine Café's application to the city suggested an October opening.

It will be located at 12934 Minnetonka Boulevard. This new location is in addition to the . The city council continued the liquor license item to the Oct. 8 city council meeting.
