Crowds Flock to Ridgedale for H&M Opening

The first 100 people in line received giveaways worth as much as $300.

Lines stretched nearly to the Ridgedale Center entry doors as shoppers waited in line for the grand opening of the mall’s new H&M clothing store.

There were giveaways of up to $300 for the first 100 people in line. Jernell Sulttle, the first in line, arrived at 8 a.m. to be sure she got one of the giveaways. The H&M opening was the second Sulttle had been, too. She went to the Calhoun Square opening on her birthday.

Employees danced to the hits, and the beats created a festive atmosphere. But Sulttle had one reason for being there: “You get money.”
