CD One Price Offers Quality Dry Cleaning, Simple Prices

At CD One Price Cleaners, the pitch is simple: pay a single price whatever type of garment you bring in.

Actually, there are a whopping two prices. It’s $2.99 to clean and press any garment, while Laundered shirts cost just $1.99. But the store—which opened on the Hopkins-Minnetonka border Oct. 16 and had its ribbon cutting Tuesday—aims to make laundry services simple and affordable for its customers.

CD One Price offers free same-day service, e-mail alerts when cleaning is done and Starbucks Coffee for customers.

Its location at 415 17th Ave. in Hopkins, the first franchise in Minnesota, is adding 18 jobs to the local economy. The company also has 30 franchises and company-owned CD One Price Cleaners locations in the Chicago area.

The Hopkins cleaner launched with a soft opening but will begin spreading the word in earnest soon. It will give away a year’s worth of free dry cleaning during the grand opening festivities Nov. 16. Starting at 9 a.m., 100 names will be drawn throughout the day. There will also be coffee, treats and entertainment, courtesy of the Hopkins High School Band.
