After Elimination, Alan Bersten Dishes About His Run on 'So You Think You Can Dance'

Bersten was eliminated from "So You Think You Can Dance" last week.

After three times in the bottom six, Minnetonka's ballroom dancer Alan Bersten was booted off Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance" last Tuesday.

Following his departure, Bersten spoke to Reality TV World about why he thought he didn't make it to the Top 10. Bersten said he never lost hope of getting to the next level, and thought not having a solo shown before the Top 20 shows began hurt him:

"Starting from the beginning, I believe I was one of the only people who didn't get a solo shown from the audition practice." Bersten told Reality TV World. "So people only recognized me starting with the Top 20. While the other dancers already had some fan base from their auditions, I was like starting fresh. Maybe if I just showed a little bit more personality towards the beginning, America could've connected better with me."

Bersten also told Realty TV World that it was his dream to be on the show, and he hopes to move on by getting more commercial work, and continue with dance styles other than ballroom.
