Wine on the Menu This Weekend

Minnetonka Patch gives you some fun events to check out while you're off the clock.

Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Minnetonka Patch has got you covered. Here are a number of great events being held in and around Minnetonka:

When: Saturday (obviously), 12 p.m. - 10 p.m.

Where: Carson’s Bay on Lake Minnetonka

When: Saturday, 10a.m. - 12p.m.

Why go: This is the fourth year that Minnetonka Community Education has sponsored the event for kids (ages 5+) and for many of them, this will be their first experience ice fishing. Kids and their parents can come out to the lake and all of the equipment is provided for them, if they need it. Fishing Guides are even on hand to help kids learn about the sport. Prizes are also awarded by age group – a real treat for the kids! Last year participants caught over 250 fish!

When:  Saturday, 10:00a.m.–12:00p.m.

Why go: A free carnival--Need I say more? This family fun fest will offer up food, games, prizes, drawings! 

Price: Free in exchange for a non-perishable food item

 

Where:

When: Saturday, February 19, 2 p.m.

Why go: It's hip to be square! Learn floral design techniques and mechanics to create your own square wreath to decorate your door.

Price: $10.00 + Materials

 

Where: Driftwood Char Bar, 4415 Nicollet Avenue, Minneapolis

When: Friday, 9 p.m.  - Jack Klatt & the Cat Swingers; Saturday, 9 p.m. - The Mad Ripple + The Bratlanders

Why Go:  Great music at a great place for a good time.  Check out their website for daily drink and food specials.

Price: Free

 

Where: Park Tavern, 3401 Louisiana Ave., St. Louis Park

When: Friday and Saturday, 10 p.m. – 1 a.m.

Why Go: Bowl all night long for only $15. Plus, enjoy awesome drink specials, a cool cosmic light show and all the hottest music. Friday night, JP The Radio Slave will be rocking out your favorite tunes.

Price: $15

 

Where: Bean Good Cafe, 5101 Minnetonka Boulevard, St. Louis Park

When: Saturday, 7-9 p.m.

Why Go: Come and enjoy free music at Bean Good on Saturday evenings.  Local talent such as Edie Rae, Amy Van Patten, Jenny Case and Matthew Levitt will be performing this year.

Price: Free

 

Where: Edinborough Park Amphitheater, 7700 York Ave. S, Edina

When: Sunday, 7 p.m.

Why go: Enjoy some great music during an indoor concert, part of a series of concerts held at Edinborough Park year-round.
