St. David's Fall Fest: Get Out and Grow

The festival will educate and entertain families via interactive art, music and health-boosting activities on and near the St. David's Center.

With a focus on families, an emphasis on health and a backdrop of the great outdoors, for Child & Family Development will host its 6th Annual Fall Festival.

Get Out and Grow! is presented by The Mosaic Company on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. As part of the movement to re-introduce children to nature, the festival will educate and entertain families via interactive art, music and health-boosting activities on and near the St. David’s Center School Forest located at 3395 Plymouth Road in Minnetonka.

“Children who spend time outdoors are healthier, more imaginative, less stressed and develop a clearer sense of themselves in the natural world in which we live,” explained Julie Sjordal, executive director of St. David’s Center. “At St. David’s Center, we integrate learning and outdoor play into our services for children of all abilities by leveraging our unique DNR-certified School Forest and state-of-the-art playgrounds. The fall festival gives us an opportunity to share our beautiful campus with the entire community.”
