Blotter: Sex Offender Nabbed at Tonka Eatery

June 19

10:27 a.m.: a 21-year-old male and a  20-year-old female, both from Delano, were arrested at Forest Meadow Drive and Plymouth Road for possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a vehicle with expired registration.

6:33 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to 12401 Wayzata Boulevard () for a reported assault. On the scene, police met a man who claimed that his ex-wife's new husband, spit on him. The incident occurred while a 2-year-old child was present and the victim in the case tells Minnetonka police that he plans to file a restraining order against the man who spit on him. 

June 20

12:37 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to 2000 Hopkins Crossroad () for a reported assault.

June 21

12:20 a.m.: a 26-year-old male from Minnetonka was arrested from his home on the 2500 block of Birchview Lane for domestic assault.

3:22 p.m.: a 56-year-old man from St. Paul was arrested at 12431 Wayzata Boulevard () for larceny theft, a gross misdemeanor. This individual has previously been charge with two accounts of driving under the influence, and 5th degree assault.

June 22

1:49 a.m.: an 18-year-old male from Eden Prairie was arrested at I-394 and Ridgedale Drive for possession of drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana.

2:12 a.m.: a 35-year-old man was arrested from his home on the 10200 block of Greenbrier Road for domestic assault. This man was previously charged with 2 DWIs, and insufficient personal flotation devices in a watercraft.

2:07 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to 13911 Ridgedale Drive (Ridgedale Office Buildings) for a reported parking complaint. A 65-year-old man from Maple Grove was then charged with .

3:19 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to a home on the 3500 block of Shady Oak Road for a reported burglary.

10:08 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to the 3300 block of Jidana Lane for reported drug activity. They found a vehicle parked in after park hours, with its windows fogged up. Police spoke with the driver and three passengers in the car, and could smell marijuana in the vehicle. They searched the vehicle and found .5 grams of marijuana. As a result, a 20-year-old male was arrested for possession of a small amount of marijuana.

June 23

6:50 a.m.: a 60-year-old man from Cohasset, Minn. was arrested at Shady Oak Road and Excelsior Boulevard for 4th degree DUI, amisdemeanor.

3:14 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to the 5400 block of Smetana Drive for a reported burglary. On the scene, a woman charged that her sister stole numerous items, including electronics, from her home. The case was forwarded to Minnetonka investigators. 

10:36 p.m.: a 31-year-old man from Bayfield, Wisc. and a 33-year-old woman from Cokato were arrested on the 17500 block of County Road 101 for 5th degree drug possession of methamphetamine, a felony. The man has previously been charged for underage consumption, disorderly conduct, 3rd degree DWI, financial transaction card fraud, theft misdemeanor and providing a Peace Office with a false name. In 2003, the woman was charged with 5th degree possession of a controlled substance in a motor vehicle.

10:51 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to 14601 Hwy 7 () for a reported assault. Shortly thereafter, a 46-year-old man from Plato, Minn. was arrested for felony possession of a firearm. Due to a previous conviction this individual was not entitled to possess any type of firearm. In the past, this man has been charged with a 3rd degree sex crime, disorderly conduct, exhibition driving, and two accounts of domestic assault.

June 24

4:54 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to a home on the 4300 block of Queens Way for a reported burglary.

June 25

1:13 a.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to a home on the 2300 block of Cherrywood Road for a reported medical issue. Shortly thereafter, a 19-year-old female from Plymouth was arrested for underage liquor consumption.

2:31 p.m.: a 21-year-old from Hopkins was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana.

June 26

8:59 p.m.: a 45-year-old man from Minneapolis was arrested at 11100 Wayzata Boulevard (an office building) for 2nd degree DWI. This person was previously charged with a 4th degree DWI in 2003.
