For EMS training, just under half of the fire department is now certified to use the King airway (advanced airway), Res-Q-Pod (pressure regulator for CPR), and LUCAS (mechanical CPR device) in addition to learning about allergic reactions/anaphylaxis. For vehicle extrication, a review of vehicle extrication dangers and tips was presented by an instructor from the Nationally-recognized Plymouth Fire Department extrication team.
