Minnetonka Police Blotter

Dangerous drugs, two repeat offenders and more under age drinking in this week's police reports.

All information taken from the Crime Activity Report.


July 22

4:51 p.m.: a 28 year old male from Minneapolis was arrested at Elmo Road and Minnetonka Mills Road for 5th degree possession of dangerous drugs, a felony. This man has previously been convicted with theft, fleeing the police and controlled substance1st degree for manufacturing methamphetamine, a felony.

11:15 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to Leroy Street and Minnetonka Boulevard for reported drug activity. A 20 year old male from Plymouth was arrested for 5th degree possession of a controlled substance, a felony.

July 24

1:11 a.m.: a 34 year old male from Hopkins was arrested at Hwy 7 and 12th Avenue N for 4th degree DWI and driving after a license cancellation, both misdemeanors. This man has previously been charged with two accounts of 5th degree domestic assault, and disorderly conduct.

6:03 a.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to Bren Road and Chasewood Parkway for a reported personal injury accident. A 29 year old male from Rochester was arrested for 4th degree DUI and operating a vehicle with negligence.

10:56 p.m.: a 55 year old man from Minneapolis was arrested at 11300 Excelsior Boulevard for larceny theft of an automobile, a felony. Previously, this individual was charged with 2 counts of 5th degree assault, theft over $2,500, and heavily tinted windows.

July 25

8:55 a.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to the 5600 block of Rowland Road for a reported burglary.

9:37 a.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to the 12400 block of Whitewater Drive for a reported burglary.

1:34 p.m.: a 49 year old woman from New Hope was arrested at 12421 Wayzata Boulevard (JC Penny) for larceny possession of shoplifting gear, a felony. This individual has previously been charged with two accounts theft.

July 26

12:55 a.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to a home on the 4900 block of Clear Spring Road in response to a noise complaint. Nine individuals (6 males, 3 males) aged 18 and 19 were charged with underage liquor consumption. Four of the minors were also charged with unlawful assembly, while one male from Chanhassen added disobeying the order of a Police Officer to his charges. Later at 11:08 a.m., Minnetonka Police were dispatched to the same address for a reported theft.

12:47 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to the 600 block of City View Drive for a reported burglary.

2:52 p.m.: Minnetonka Police dispatched to the 18700 block of Stratford Road for a reported animal bite.

4:38 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to a home on the 5700 block of Whited Avenue for a reported ordinance failure. The 38 year old male resident was charged with a recreational fire violation (larger than 3x3 feet).

9:50 p.m.: a 44 year old female from Minnetonka was arrested at Hwy 7 and Williston Road for a DWI misdemeanor.

9:58 p.m.: a 32 year old woman form Minnetonka was arrested on the 1800 block of Traymore Road for domestic assault, a misdemeanor.

11:12 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to the 12400 block of Marion Lane W for a reported assault.

July 27

1:40 a.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to the 17900 block of Old Excelsior Boulevard for a reported DWI. A 21 year old male from Minnetonka was arrested for 4th degree DWI and fleeing on foot. He was then transported to detox.

Between 6:51 and 10:22 a.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to the 3600 block of Robinwood Terrace, 1900 block of Traymore Road, 11400 block of Friar Lane, 3400 block of Robinwood Terrace, and 2800 block of Mayflower Avenue for reported property damage and vandalism.

3:15 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to 12401 Wayzata Boulevard () in response to a parking complaint. A 87 year old woman was charged with unauthorized use of a handicap permit.

3:18 p.m.: a 39 year old woman from Burnsville was arrested at Minnetonka Boulevard and Hwy 101 for maintaining a public nuisance, endangering the morals of members of the public, a misdemeanor.

3:58 p.m.: During a traffic stop at () a 19 year old male from Hopkins was charged with 5th degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

July 28

4:14 a.m.: a 52 year old man from Minnetonka was arrested from his home on the 2200 block of Country Lane for domestic assault, a misdemeanor. Previously this man was charged with 4th degree possession of a controlled substance, twice issuing dishonorable checks, two accounts of driving under the influence, and 2nd degree DWI.

Between 7:03 and 9:24 a.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched twice to the 10300 block of Cedar Lake Road and once to the 2800 block of Jordan Avenue for burglary.

7:35 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to an apartment building at 300 Carlson Parkway for reported drug activity. A 26 year old male from Plymouth was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

8:12 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to 2200 block of Country Lane for reported weapon violence. A 52 year old man from Minnetonka (also arrested earlier in the day) was again arrested from his home for possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

10:43 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to Vine Hill and Townline Road for a reported DWI. A 22 year old male from Deephaven was arrested for 4th degree DWI, a misdemeanor.

July 29

1:16 a.m.: a 29 year old man from Minnetonka was arrested near his home on the 14900 block of Williams lane for a 2nd degree DWI, a gross misdemeanor. This individual has previously been charged with theft, speeding, 4th degree DWI, 5th degree felony possession of marijuana, and a gross misdemeanor DWI.

12:37 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to Hwy 7 and Hwy 101 for a reported DWI. A 44 year old woman from Minnetonka was arrested for 3rd degree DUI and driving after license suspension. This same woman was arrested three days earlier for a DWI.
