Local Kid Becomes Nordy, the Mini-Mascot

You can register your child, ages 5-7, for the chance to be the mini-mascot at an upcoming Minnesota Wild home game.

Zach Huotari found himself in a coveted position last week.

The six-year-old from Minnetonka got to dress up as Mini Nordy for the Minnesota Wild last Thursday at the Xcel Energy Center against the Winnipeg Jets.

"He had an incredible time," said his dad, Neil Huotari. "He got to hang with Nordy and greet fans– walking around the whole arena taking pictures and cheering with many fans."
