"[The] wonderful quotes put me in a happy mood for the day,” Arlene Davis said.

"Create Your Life" and "Get Good at Living" are just two of the affirmations that the bank's sign featured this week. According to Poplau, bank employees and community members are encouraged to suggest messages.

"It's a collaborative effort," she said.

Bank officials pointed out that the kind of sign they chose to display the affirmations and announcements, is itself a reflection of the bank’s commitment to the Minnetonka community.

"An electronic sign would be easier to read but [the sign we chose] exemplifies the kind of bank we are,” said Senior Vice President and Director of Marketing for , Robin Roberts.

Besides providing Minnetonka drivers uplifting messages to brighten their days, also uses the sign to promote community events and charities.

"We really want to be involved in the community,” said Poplau. "The sign is just one part of what we do.”
