Why Go: Caregivers can utilize this resource event to hear speakers and meet with various vendors.

Why Go: The first 50 kids aged 8-11 years will demonstrate their back-to-school spelling skills and compete to advance to the Grand Finale Bee on Sept. 24.

Southwest Minneapolis

When: Sunday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m.
Where: 
Why Go: The community is invited to the 10th Anniversary Memorial Concert featuring Armed Forces Salute, Stars & Stripes Forever, Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, local composer Carol Barnett's American Kaleidoscope, Amazing Grace 9-11 and Christine's Lullaby by Linden Hills very own composer Carl Schroeder. The evening will culminate with God Bless America and fireworks.

Why Go: Golden Valley safety personnel will participate in the honoring those who lost their lives 10 years ago during the tragedy of 9/11. The ceremony begins at 3 p.m.
