Feed the Horses!: We Can Ride Needs Your Help

The therapeutic riding program's Buy a Bale or Bucket fundraiser aims to raise $17,000 before Aug. 16.

Hay and feed prices have risen dramatically over the past year—making it harder to care for the horses at We Can Ride.

The therapeutic riding program for people with physical or cognitive disabilities has raised more than $14,000 in its inaugural Buy a Bale or Bucket fundraiser. But it still needs to raise $3,000 before Aug. 16 to reach its $17,000 goal.

The organization is accepting donations here.

Your money could buy the following:

  • $30: three bales of hay
  • $60: two grain buckets
  • $150: one round bale
Donations can be made in the name of one of the horses. The top-earning horse will receive a carrot cake party with its human friends who raise the most money. That horse will also earn Horse of the Year for its We Can Ride location.

Volunteers who raise money can also receive prizes.
