Clear Springs Silent Auction Needs Your Donations

On April 25, 2014, Clear Springs Elementary School in Minnetonka will host their 10th annual Parent Party and Auction at Tuttle’s Bowling Bar and Grill.  This event, put on by the school’s PTO, raises money for special projects and equipment at the school.

Last year, for example, the funds went toward the purchase of iPads for student use in the classroom.  This year, the goal is to raise enough money to update and expand the playground to meet the physical development needs of students in Kindergarten through fifth grade.  The student population at Clear Springs has increased by 220 students in the past five years, creating a need for additional playground resources so that kids can have a physical and imaginative play outlet during their school day.

To make this happen, the PTO needs help from community members and businesses in the form of donations to the auction.  The PTO has already sent out requests to area businesses for support; gift cards, products, services, or money are all welcome.  Any contributor will receive publicity prior to and during the event, which will reach the Clear Springs parent population of over 570 families who frequent area businesses.

These families are largely residents of Minnetonka, Shorewood, Chanhassen, Eden Prairie; they also come from other surrounding communities such as Hopkins, Wayzata, Chaska, Edina, and Minneapolis.  Lisa Ulett, a Clear Springs parent and Chairperson of this year’s event, says “Parents at the school appreciate the donations local businesses make for the betterment of Clear Springs and are loyal to those businesses.  We all realize without those donations, none of this is possible!”

Another marketing opportunity is to sponsor a marquee space on the electronic auction scoreboards that will be running on televisions throughout the venue on the night of the event. This is a great way to have your company logo featured all night as a sponsor for only $100.

The Parent Party and Auction will feature music, food, a silent and live auction, and a bowling tournament.  It’s a great opportunity for families of Clear Springs to get to know each other, do good for their children’s school, and come home with some great prizes from community businesses.  Anyone wishing to donate to the event can contact Lisa Ulett at ulettl@yahoo.com.  More information can be found on the Clear Springs website.
