The award recognizes the best senior high school player in Minnesota.

The Minnesota State Soccer Coaches Association on Sunday named Minnetonka senior Elizabeth Endy as the Class 2A 2013 Minnesota Ms. Soccer award winner, the Star Tribune reported.

The award recognizes Endy, a defender, as the best senior high school player in the class. On Tuesday, the Star Tribune also announced that she was the metro player of the year.

Endy helped her team to a 14-2-2 record in the regular season. The Skippers won the Section 6AA tournament Oct. 15 with a victory over Hopkins. They’re seeded third in the state tournament, which they kicked off with a 3-0 win Wednesday over Elk River.
