I-394 Ramp Closures Start Thursday Night

Also: Absentee voting begins, and a former Minnetonka player leaves the Gophers' hockey team.

The first of two Interstate 394 ramp closures happens Thursday night.

The ramp from westbound I-394 to southbound I-494 will close at 10 p.m. Thursday. It will reopen at 6 a.m. Friday.

The second closure takes place Monday on the northbound I-494 ramp to westbound Highway 12. It will reopen in late October.

During closures, drivers should follow the detours using northbound I-494 and Carlson Parkway.

The closure is part of a project to improve the flow of traffic on westbound I-394 by removing the weaving from through lanes and providing better access to I-494. The project will be complete by late October.
