71 Minnetonka Runners Finish Twin Cities Marathon

The 2013 marathon took place in Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Minnetonka had 71 runners among the 8,852 who finished the 26.2-mile 2013 Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon on Sunday.

Time Snell was fastest among Minnetonka men. The 35-year-old’s time of 2:37:54 was 70th overall, 62nd out of the 4,920 men in the race and fifth among the 708 runners in the men’s 35-39 division.

Saida Lesov was the first Minnetonka woman to cross the finish line. The 39-year-old’s time of 3:35:45 was 1,446th overall, 337th out of the 3,929 women in the race and 74th among the 671 runners in the women’s 35-39 division.

Ralph Douglass, at 58, was the oldest Minnetonka runner to finish. His time of 5:48:06 was 8,670th overall. He was 4,854th among men in the race and 293rd in the men’s 55-59 division.

Arizona resident Nick Arciniaga won the 2013 Twin Cities Marathon men’s race with a time of 2:13:11, according to a StarTribune.com report. Former Minnesota resident Annie Bersagel won the woman’s title with a time of 2:30:52.

The race began near the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis and finished at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul.
