Scenic Heights Elementary School serves neighborhoods in Eden Prairie and Minnetonka. Located just south of Excelsior Boulevard near Purgatory Park, kids here take classes in reading, writing, grammar, spelling, handwriting, math, science, social studies, health, art, music, media and technology and physical education. Scenic Heights Elementary students also have the option of Chinese immersion beginning in kindergarten.

The Minnetonka School District's new Navigator Program for gifted students consists of small group of learners with I.Q.s of 145 and above. Scenic Heights Elementary and Excelsior Elementary are home to the Navigator Program.

Transportation by school bus is provided for the majority of children residing in the school district at no charge to the family. Two hot lunch choices are offered each day; meals are planned in accordance with requirements of the federal school lunch guidelines.

For children in need of before- and/or after-school care, Scenic Heights offers Explorer's Club for children in grades K-5. Hours are 6:45 am until school starts, and after school until 6 pm.
