Come join the JazzMN Orchestra on March 9th when it welcomes jazz trumpet legend Randy Brecker.
Brecker is one of the great innovators in jazz, a pioneer in jazz fusion. But his accomplishments span genre lines, winning Grammy awards for mainstream, hard bop and Latin jazz efforts.
Known for his fusion stints with Billy Cobham, Blood, Sweat & Tears, and in the Brecker Brothers with his brother Michael, Brecker's tones have also graced many rock and pop albums, including those of James Taylor, Bruce Springsteen and Steely Dan. Among his solo albums are the Grammy-winning Into the Sun, 34th N Lex, and Randy in Brasil.
Also joining JazzMN for the concert will be popular Twin Cities vocalist Judi Donaghy Vinar.
