Tonka Remains Undefeated After Beating Edina

The Skippers' football team defended their home turf by winning 28-14 on Friday evening. Next up: Wayzata.

The Minnetonka football team stayed atop their game on Friday evening, and defeated the Hornets from Edina.

After building a comfortable lead of 28-0, the Skippers didn't allow Edina to score until late in the third quarter. When Edina scored again to cut the lead down to 14, Minnetonka went back to their power running game to run clock and didn't give Edina a chance to gain momentum. The deal was sealed when Minnetonka recovered an onside kick by Edina.

Minnetonka (4-0) will travel to Wayzata next Friday, Sept. 30 to take on the Trojans in a battle of undefeated teams.
