Three Minnetonka students will display their juggling skills in the annual Winter Showcase sponsored by the Edina Youth Juggling Association.
The Showcase will be directed by 2007 Minnetonka High School graduate, Scott Richter. Lauren Stempel (a senior at MHS), Reid Johnson (a freshman at MHS) and Elise Johnson (a seventh grader at Minnetonka Middle School East) will perform along with many other solo and group acts.
These three students are part of the larger Jugheads organization which includes over 140 students, grades 3 through 12, who meet year around and during summer camps to practice and perform their juggling skills.
The motto of the Jugheads organization is to "develop youth through juggling." The organization focuses on youth character development using the technical and performance skills of juggling.
The Winter Showcase is a free show on March 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the South View Middle School auditorium (475 South View Lane, Edina). Tickets for the spring performance, Juggle Jam, which will be hosted by Hopkins High School on May 18 and 19, can be found at Jugheads.com.
