Letter: 'I'm Voting For Kirk Stensrud'

"He is a small business owner who knows job creation and business growth can't happen with over burdensome regulations and a rush to higher taxes without meaningful tax and spending reforms."

To the Editor,

This election is important if we are going to move our state forward. Our economy and job creation must be a top priority for our state.

That’s why I am supporting Representative Kirk Stensrud for re-election.  He is a small business owner who knows job creation and business growth can’t happen with over burdensome regulations and a rush to higher taxes without meaningful tax and spending reforms.

He is a proven leader when it comes to supporting education reforms that put kids first and work to close the achievement gap for students in underperforming schools. Our children, our future workforce, need heroes who stand up against the status quo and stand strong for innovation and excellence in all classrooms.

Stensrud believes free market principles must be a priority in Minnesota’s healthcare reform, giving consumers power and information in making their personal healthcare decisions. He has supported property tax fairness for suburban taxpayers who are mandated to share their tax dollars regionally and statewide, yet get little or no state aid to reduce property tax burdens like others do throughout Minnesota. He is endorsed by the TwinWest Chamber of Commerce PAC, the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce Leadership Fund, and a recipient of the NFIB Guardian of Small Business Award from the National Federation of Small Business for his strong support of economic growth during his two years in office.

Let’s put our priorities in place, move forward, and re-elect Representative Kirk Stensrud on November 6.

Sincerely,
