Hopkins Hockey Player Makes Sports Illustrated
The magazine recognized Erin O'Neil for her performance against Minnetonka.
Hopkins High School hockey player Erin O'Neil received some recognition before a national audience.
The junior goaltender appeared in the Feb. 4 edition of Sports Illustrated’s Faces in the Crowd.
The publication singled O'Neil out for the 45 saves she made in the Royals 3-1 win over top-ranked Minnetonka on Jan. 19. Although the Skippers outshot Hopkins 46-8, O'Neil allowed just the single goal.
