Hennepin County Encourages Residents to 'Get Out, Get Active'

Prizes are available to those who participate in a number of events.

Hennepin County is encouraging residents to be physically fit this year with the "Get Out, Get Active" program.

The program is broken into three sessions, with Session One underway now and running through June. During each session, a number of physical activities across nine categories will be suggested, and residents who participate in at least five categories—and turn in a participation card—will be entered into a drawing for a Three Rivers Park District Activity Pass (worth up to $150).

You can see the full Session One brochure attached to this article as a PDF. Below are the suggested activities:

Disc Golf – Enjoy the spring on either of these nine-hole courses.

  • Central Park, Regent and 85th avenues N., Brooklyn Park
  • Moir Park Disc Golf Course, W. 104th St. and Morgan Ave. S., Bloomington
