Comcast Adds 450 Jobs in Minnetonka

A new Minnetonka customer service center will open within months.

Comcast is set to open a new call center in Minnetonka—adding 450 new jobs to the city within the next couple of months.

The 98,000 square foot call center is expected to open this summer and will be located in Comcast's existing Minnetonka facility at 9705 Data Park Drive. Renovations will begin immediately to expand and upgrade that building in anticipation of employees' arrival this summer. Those renovations are expected to be completed in the first part of 2012.

Comcast's Corporate Affairs Manager, Dave Nyberg, told Minnetonka Patch that the 450 new hires will be full-time salaried positions with benefits. He said the company plans to spend a total of $25 million annually for the new employees—no doubt having a significant positive economic impact on the entire region.
